Bryan MoatsSend Bryan Moats a message :   Well put.   2004-06-18 14:14:13
Casey BurnsSend Casey Burns a message :   no, moats, i'm addressing all the people who seem to think there is an "ideal" image for the mc5 ... it's a mixture of snobbery and jealousy.   2004-06-18 14:12:50
Bryan MoatsSend Bryan Moats a message :   I agree, were you talkin' a me? Or Joey there?   2004-06-18 14:11:14
Casey BurnsSend Casey Burns a message :   what's up with all the fucking crybabies??? this is a really good poster. it also fits the mc5, even though it doesn't tie in with their old graphics at all. it screams electric.   2004-06-18 14:08:42
Bryan MoatsSend Bryan Moats a message :   I think, as Clay has explained before, that POTW doesn't always mean, the best poster of the week, month or batch. It's supposed to be a good example of what can be done with a poster, or a good example of someone's or a group of people's style. Not necessarily supposed to represent the best of an artform.   2004-06-18 14:02:51
ramones1Send ramones1 a message :   "poster of the week" gotta be kidding me!!! :( :(   2004-06-18 13:48:10
perkinsSend perkins a message :   Hell yeah, this rules!   2004-06-15 17:15:55
David Michael MillerSend David Michael Miller a message :   It's got a Monty Python/Terry Gilliam thing going on there. But you're right--it does not evoke the MC5 for me, but then again, a lot of the artwork on this site seems to have a lot more to do with the designers' tastes than the bands'.   2004-06-14 12:29:03
craigSend craig a message :   i saw the mick five in detroit last week and it was amazing, mark arm is the ghost of rob tyner, evan dando needs to lay off the drugs but when he sang it was pretty right on. i have to agree with the people who said that it doesn't scream mc5 but it's not like the guy had to recreate a gary grimshaw poster... all in all pretty cool.   2004-06-14 11:41:50
ShawnySend Shawny a message :   afros, fists, guitars, flames, and gawdy clothes. they are supposed to look rock n' roll. incidentally, i think this poster is totally rock n' roll. thumbs up!   2004-06-13 22:23:47
ClaySend Clay a message :   I have no idea what MC5 is 'supposed' to look like. Way before my time.
Kick ass poster though!

DWITTSend DWITT a message :   I'm getting a kick out of reading about how much Evan Dando sucked at last night's show in MPLS.   2004-06-13 14:03:40
ferg2001Send ferg2001 a message :   you obviously have a bad case of OTD   2004-06-12 19:42:20
moxiegustoSend moxiegusto a message :   A very nice design by someone who never experienced the raw power of the original MC5. You had to have been there. We geezers know...this is nice, but it ain't the 5.   2004-06-12 19:10:13
Steve HSend Steve H a message :   its says PICK UP THE LITTER YOU ASSHOLES!   2004-06-12 17:28:15
ryanaugustSend ryanaugust a message :   This doesn't say "KICK OUT THE JAMS MOTHERFUCKER!!!" to me at all.
I like the design. It's an engaging image. But, I don't feel it at all in this instance. I guess that's to be expected with Evan Dando doing guest vocals for them.
