I did this one for the guitarist in hellblock6's wife Jenn. It's her 30th birthday bash. Great line up. I think the boys and girls in Hellblock6 are gonna finally tour outside of philly this year so if they come your way by all means go see'em. I t was real tough for me to think of another way too rip off Hess for this one. I mean I'm almost 40 posters in and to keep up this pace of only looking at one guy to draw off of is getting tough. Not only that but I have to keep up with my fan mail and stalking regement of hess, plus the shrine I've built to hess in my gargage is very time consuming. I can't tell you how hard it is to get just the right candle light on a Derek hess head shot. Thanx for the props dan. I'm sure it won't be the last time I get compared to the guy. Like his illo's but Hess really doesn't really drive my stuff. It's really my inability to finish a drawing.

i see a HUGE difference between mercer and hess. much more imaginative conceptually, not just puns. every poster is considerably different, much bolder heavy drawings, etc etc..
