there's a story for this one. needed a flyer, running behind, trying to smoke a couple cigarettes in my detached office (car) and sketch something out. USAisam seemed like an easy sentiment to create something for. sketched out a ton of variations of my pared down feeling towards US troops in Iraq: soldiers with targets painted on them. not that I want soldiers dead, but I feel like every time another soldier is killed, while the killer is guilty, the soldier's country that keeps them there long after they're supposed to leave/sends them into a country over personal vendettas, etc. is a close second. anyway, every way it was drawn made it look like I wanted people to start shooting soldiers. my dad got spit on when he returned from nam, doing what he had to do because he couldn't afford college, so I definitely respect soldiers, but a big disclaimer on a rock poster would have probably thrown it off balance. thanks alex.
