leia* thanks for the hint. i'd assumed it was a copy from the original photo but you really took it the extra mile. really great effect that compliments the design perfectly.
Scrojo-- to do the bricks, I xeroxed the orginal photograph a bunch of times and pieced it together like a collage. then I did some drawing over the top so it was a mix of photo and sketch.
p.s. thank you all!!
I love the detail on this, it's insane! I have a question though- if this was taken from a picture of when you were in high school, how come one of the fliers in the poster says Kilby Court on it? Didn't you go to high school in Knoxville? Or did you just want to add some modern appeal? Great job nevertheless!
I saved this for last cause I'm not sure what words to use. It has your 'style' but still is very different from your other work. I love that. You can do no wrong in my eyes.
 oh thank you so much Shawny-- it really means a lot!
this is actually from a photo I took in high school of my best friend standing next to some flyers that I made.
GREAT inorporation of the text into your design! you've been doing some great new things as of late - the animal theme - and now this. and in every case, you totally succeed. fantastic poster! those bricks are meltworthy, as is the texturing of the pole. and the grass at the bottom is perfect.
