I take the grayscale inage and pump it up to full size (12.5 x 18) at 600 dpi. Then I bitmap at 20 lpi at 45 degree angle elipse pattern. The logo is at 40 lpi.
I have gone as high as 100lpi but that was for pretty much solid lines. 40lpi is the highest I would recommend for an even spread.
Richie Goodtimes and Andy Diesel are probably much better to ask. They guided me.

halftone, eh? screenprinted? how did you do it? I've been struggling with halftones...I was spoiled by color laser prints. What is a good halftone for a 256 lpi screenmesh?

So weird. This was totally last minute for BOTH and I did it real quick like and I'm not really that happy with it. But I wake up this morning and everyone is digging it. That's a good feeling.
Trivia: skull was a dingbat on my bellrays poster and the stars are from the Soledad Bros. one.
