this is probably one of those letterpress showcard bootlegs that fills the internet. a while back, some enterprising fella decided that he could print up "GEN-U-INE ANTEEK" showcard rock concert gigposters and sell them for big bucks. i first noticed them back in the early 90's for beatles/stones/woodstock/elvis - any act or show or event that was "historically significant". i remember getting fooled by one for the buddy holly/big bopper/richie valens show that got cancelled because of the plane wreck. i thought it was a real one and bought it. it (of course) was a total fraud. that was about 1990. so, these fake things have been on the scene for a very long time. now they have them for just about every band or gig or even fantasy gig imaginable - all for $9.99 on the internet. if you get into buying old showcards (grushkin calls them 'boxing posters', but that is inaccurate. they are properly called 'show cards'. they've been around since the 1800's), you'd better know something about them or you'll buy an awful lot of worthless junk.
