Ok, here's the story. I made three different version of this poster. The one you see here is a collaboration between Aaron Horkey (who did the Andrew Bird poster that we printed) and myself. I did a completely different black and white one before Aaron gave me his art so the club could start advertising which the club felt was kind of hard to read in a different way. Then Aaron gave me his art (all hand drawn) which is the green stuff. I filled in the space with the swarm of bugs pulled individually from on old illustration encyclopedia. Almost 100 bugs! It's a three color print on charcoal brown paper. Then, for a more readable, photocopy friendly version, I dropped out Aaron's art and put in boring easy to read type. So, I agree that it doesn't function the best for advertising, but I'm very happy with it just as a piece. Thanks for all the supportive comments! |
