Sorry, but I had to come back to this... It is very unfortunate for those of us who love the band as they were... Cris and Curt as brothers WERE the band as we knew them back in the day (sorry for the mixed up spellings earlier...). To see them (due to Cris) sadly spiral out at their height, was sad... Seeing and hearing Curt re-assemble a confident, touring, sober, and still rockin' Puppets was all we needed to agree... It is a very sad story concerning them between brothers... |

A most unfortunate poster of week coincidence. This is a terrific print by Salty Dave, most worthy of P.O.W., though the circumstances around Chris Kirkwood's injuries are saddening... Meat Puppets are amazing, and hearing of the shooting made my day shit. I knew Chris had been struggling with problems for awhile, was out of the band, and I had hoped the situation would get better for him. Best wishes to Kurt... |

Apparently Cris was shot by a post office security guard after taking his baton and beating him with it over a parking space altercation.

Kind of ironic this is POW since I just saw on the news that someone in the Meat Puppets got shot today/tonight and he's supposed to be a suspect in some aggravated assault deal. I didn't get enough info as I caught the tail end of it. Weird. |
