Congrats Mig. I sat next to this guy at FS3 and people were flocking around his stuff all weekend. Something about the technique achieves a kind of authenticity (like old movie placards and fruit crate labels and things from the 30s) that can't be simulated through other modern means. Coool. 8)
Oh HELL YEAH!!!! Absolutely, positively awesome choice for POW. Mig is taking this shit to a whole new level.
It's inspiring to see an artist carve a niche for themselves in his own unique style. Very well deserved recognition.
Congrats. Aside from being a great poster artist, you have to admit he's got a cool name. Mig Kokinda . . . sounds like a Japanese cartoon super spy. I met a guy this year with just a one word name . . . Oso. He could be your arch nemesis.
that is fucking sharp! there must be like 8 stencils going on in this. how could you cut out those compounds and stuff...they would fall out altogether. man, just thinking about all of that cutting makes my hand soar.
Not sure if you all realize but all of Mig's stuff is stencil and spray paint. It's not screen printed. First time I saw his stuff it floored me. He's bringing over his Turbonegro poster tomorrow, can't wait to see it...
