guyburSend guybur a message :   well not so much another idea of how to rearrange it, but what's your take on why I did it the way i did?   2004-08-08 21:17:20
slaterSend slater a message :   what if the type on top was all that yellow color and it ran into the yellow fade of the sun? It's like the type would be harder to read and you could almost look at the words as shapes and not a band's name then since you have it at the bottom too.
You have mad style by the way and this is super great.

guyburSend guybur a message :   guy, this poster is obviously amazing, but i wonder why you chose to put the text on the top of the poster when the info's already at the bottom? it seems unnecessary and kind of competes with the illo.
actually, it doesn't compete with the illustration but rather gives it something to bounce off instead of a big blank bg blah or more sunset stripes. This fellow is rocking into the rising sun of his own glorious announcement. it's really the bottom text that redundant and only there because i guess you have to be able to read the artists for the poster to function totally by The Man's rules. If it was just the figure on top, you's see a figure on top and some text on the bottom and go 'another one of those' a figure and some text. I think it gives it real depth of space having the grounded figure and then the text hanging in the sunset. Would anybody else like to venture a thought? No?
