The troll dude is Mortis. He is silly.
The Norwegian Black metal scene had a lot of similarities with the Gnagsta rap scene in the US. It's more mellow now. Like those dudes are all old now and just want to make music.

Oh, thanks. I had a buddy that was really into the norway scene and would always come up with these bits of trivia. I remember he had a picture of some keyboardist that looked like a REAL troll (from the band 'Ancient' I think?). Strange stuff, I had a hard time relating to anything in that scene. :|

Actualy I am wrong. Bard "Faust" Eithen who was in Emperor killed a gay dude because he made a pass at him. Bard is out of prison now and writes lyrics for the band Zyklon which features other members of the band Emperor. Zyklon is a side project.
Varg " Count Grishnact" Vierkenes burned down churches and killed Euronomous who was the guitar player in Mayhem. He stabbed him in the head. He is now a Nazi skinhead living in the Norwegian prison system. I think he gets out in 2006.

Nope. That was Mayhem. I think Dimmu borgir managed to stay out of all of that nonsense. I'm not sure if they were even a band during yet that whole mess.
