i know they played a show in vancouver recently that got shut down for some reason, so they played in the parking-lot outside. nobody could see them but they played anyway so people could listen.
Again Casey, I agree.
I remember seeing them in high school and Guy was laying across the monitor completely red and screaming and Ian was on the left...on his knees almost hopping up and down...on his knees...They were just leaving it all out there.
That show costs 5.50
but fugazi rescheduled shortly thereafter, and played an amazing show. i even drove to charlotte the next night to see them again. they might be one of the best live bands i have ever seen. and i have seen literally several thousands of bands.
Actually, they cancelled, the Ex still played (at the 700 capacity cradle rather than the 2000 capacity ritz), and it was six bucks to not see fugazi.
the ex were excellent.
last time fugazi played here, they specifically requested a female opening band. the band was horrible and hadnt played many shows, but they were female and multicultural. what do you think of that?
Really? I can only listen to 13 songs. everything else pretty much bores me. I do really appreciate what they are all about and keeping the whole DYI ethic alive. I have nothing but respect for Ian. I named my first son after him.
Fugazi for 5 bucks. And the cool part of it is that this show couldve been in 1988 or last month...
5 bucks for Ian and Guy leaving it all out there on the stage: best deal in rock and roll.
