It may not look like characteristic AA, but to me, this screams Q and Not U... you can't drive or walk through DC without the those stars and bars being burned into your memory... so, this is actually quite befitting of the band. Great job guys... this is the way AA gets DOWN!
I think if there were a large orange block of color filling in the area to the left of the text, i would feel satisfied.
AA and i will be collaborating on a future Triple Rock poster. i think it will be messy. Especially if I help print it, I'm clumsy.
I never would have guessed you guys did this. I think that it is a nice change, and shows a lot about how well rounded you are as designers. This one is along the lines of the Gossip poster that you recently did. Which by the way is one of my favriote posters (and not just because one of the bands is called the bleeding hickeys... which cracks me up) The posters are very powerful because of the use of the whitespace... or in the case of the gossip poster red space, and the smart striking type treatment. I love the new feel of the AA posters, but dont want you to go completely away from the messy beautiful ones that made me fall in love with AA to start with. I also like the way that this poster is horizontal instead of verticle... dont see that too much. Well done gentlemen
hey thanks. I'm not totally sure this worked out. I always have the urge to make things messy and dirty up the type. I resisted this time and it kind of hurts.
It's the DC flag.
Ok.
Very clean. I keep coming back to this one. Subconciously it makes me think of mail/envelopes/postcards/etc...which encourages me to read the info immediately. Good job.
