Generally when we collaborate on a piece David just does an illustration without text and Nate or I do the typography. We go back and forth a bunch of times with it until we're all happy with the way it looks. In this case I did the type, Nate made the halftones and then we all participated in the planning and execution of the printing. The first (blue) layer was hand painted on the screen with blockout fluid. We'd never done that before. It sparked many ideas for us.

Thanks. Although I only partially agree with David. I think our collaborations are more consistently succesful. However, we've each had some really good ones come out of solo efforts, they just seem to be more hit and miss.

thanks. we were all pretty excited with how it turned out. We tried a few new things, and it all worked. So that was nice. It also generated some new ideas. I think the posters that all three of us work on turn out better than our 'solo' Squad work.
