uncle charlieSend uncle charlie a message :   Dooly, our buddy. Has he told the catfood at the office party story yet?   2003-07-31 09:40:04
JermaineSend Jermaine a message :   I know the one...the one with the butterfly? Actually, Dooly and I DID talk about this...and when I told him my decision to back off he said, 'Right..right. Thats a good idea!' He printed this.   2003-07-31 09:36:09
uncle charlieSend uncle charlie a message :   jermaine - word. Me and Dooly jacked with florecents, green and orange one time. Made some shit that vibrated so much it gave me a headache. Dolly was scared to do it. Had to hold a gun to his head to make him comply.   2003-07-31 09:33:53
JermaineSend Jermaine a message :   Charlie- Actually, I ALMOST did use orange for the background...ALMOST. Here was the problem: the poster became so psychadelic it didnt 'fit' the vibe I was going for. The orange compliments the blue...so that action was going on. The poppy red (yes, your monitor is crappy) compliments the blue also. That blue and red combo worked in a lot of retro-psych Fillmore posters from the early 90s. Anyway, all 3 together...and the thing was falling off the page. If it was 1969 and Neil was 22 years old...then yea, I go for it. But hes mellowed out, as has the music. I wanted the image and colors to convey somewhat of a psychadelic sense...but also to appeal to the crowd for which it was made...and be a comfortable 'living room/ den' type piece. So Im fine with it, boss...
But boy, you shouldve seen that orange. I ALMOST did it.

perkinsSend perkins a message :   Wow, this is really fucking HOT. Very nice indeed!   2003-07-31 09:18:19
uncle charlieSend uncle charlie a message :   Is that color PINK? my monitor sucks, whatever it is, shoulda been orange or green. Hell, orange AND green why not.   2003-07-31 08:45:38
uncle charlieSend uncle charlie a message :   the drawing and text are fine, the red and blue are fine but the background color "light Blue" is a piss poor choice. Should have done orange or green to create more vibrancy. That lt. blue kills the poster for me.   2003-07-31 08:40:07
