Ribz 'n Cone Bray-Ed, 'n Tara too! You one lucky foo'!
Was Arthur hot or not? I've seen him smokin'and other times not so hot. The Summer of Love show was incredible! TSFPD forced them to stop their set at 7pm. It hurt bad because they were so into it that night and they only got to play about 30 minutes because of other bands going over their time, showing up late and the producer not letting us cut the ones who were late, but re-scheduling them later. Love stole the show even with a short set. I'm glad you had fun. Great poster too. One of my faves of your many fine works.
Darren, You never told us how this show went. Yow! Free HOB eats with the lovely, and talented Tara, a great concert and a meet and greet with the band! Life in the fast lane indeed!
I'm looking forward to this show. I start out getting the killer meal for Tara and I. House of Blues makes some kickin grub. Tasty lickins. The best thing on the menu is the corn bread. I think they put dope in it or something. It's so damn good. Highly recommended. Then I'll kick it with a musical hero before they go on. Then we'll kick it after they play and I'll get my posters signed by them. Keep like 3 for myself and then off 1 on Ebay for some snaps. Life is grand. :D :D
Nice Stuff Darren. You and I are both big fans of this band. I'm glad they like your work too. I got to MC for them when they did the 35th Aniiversary of the summer of Love Show in SF on 10/20/02. Great show. the recent Fillmpre one was little rough...
Thanks alot people. Love is one of my favorite bands of all time so it's an honor to do a poster for them. Especially since they approve the design. I'll maybe be doing the UK Tour stuff as well. I'll be selling these at the show. Love is giant, Quantum, huge, dope, phat, down, amazing or whatever slang you use for "The best". Thanks again. :D
Very nice one Darren. I've read really good things about this group in Blender and Rolling Stone. I've looked for their "best of" CD in stores and I can't seem to get my ears on it. I've heard the song "7&7 IS" was a pretty tight tune. I didn't know this group was back together. Maybe there's hope for a Sly & the Family Stone Reunion. Anyway, this poster is very stylish. It has a nice Fillmore-esque vibe to it. Great colors that give it a sweet
aged look and I also like his cosmic afro.
