I'm glad I stumbled across this one...just yesterday I was going to use the same tiger image (or at least one very similar) on a poster and now I'm glad I didn't.
This one came out nice. I dig the fancy 12 and all the other type.
raindog - I have the same issuse with the poster. But lately, I've had about 2 hours to design a poster before I have to print, which is why I've been doing a lot of tow and three colors and simple designs. This, the Soledad Bros. and the Rev. Horton Heat poster (that I'm putting up now) were all done from start to finish in under 5 hours.
So, that's why the teeth are not blocked out - I forgot to do it onthe film and on the screen. And I didn't notice the stomach until I started printing. Details...
cerdo - good call. I thought it was more visually interesting without the woman. I want to do a companion poster with her as the image.
looks great, but a couple things caught my eye.
why does it look like his chest/stomach got chopped off and why aren't the fangs left as the background color like the claws are?
everything else is phenomenal
I have this same illustration. There is a girl being attacked that isn't shown here. I've almost used it in a poster a few times. Now I'm glad I didn't.
Nice work BTW.
it's weird. when I look at this on the copmuter, it looks all convex. Some sort of optical illusion. In reality, the borders are perfectly straight.
Also, the orange is slightly metallic.
