Etching whatever, that looks like the Emporer to me. But I'm a simpleton when it comes to that art stuff. Nice typeface, but is that the same line weight for the white around all of the text? You might want to reduce the weight with the type size (ie: 2pt outline for 24pt text, 1pt outline for 12pt text, etc).
First, I'd like to note that the illustration is based on an etching by Howard Pyle that was done for a King Arthur book. With that out of the way, the theme or concept was relating to the Knights Templar, which although I've not been able to listen to much by High on Fire yet, I understand they referred to in one of their songs. The shadowy figure saying "SHHH" is supposed to symbolize these underworld, behind the scenes types of organizations. He's also wearing an iron cross ring, which from what I understand is one symbol of the Knights Templar. You can barely tell it in the jpg, but there is a pattern of another Templar symbol in the background - an image of two riders on a single horse.
That's all a bunch of trying to rationlize the design...I just thought it looked cool. :D
I like it how it is and yes, I like the band as well. If I were to change anything, I'd add the element of fire somewhere in the poster...ie. behind the subject, in the text, or maybe just tiny flames for eyes instead of the red dots. Good job! :D
