I used to feel like a fuck for having to glue things on pages and use whatever font spelled "fivemiletown", but here, with one photo, an entire sympathetic friendship unfolds. That's what I think the main difference is between now and the late 60s. In 1969 it was hard enough just to screen, so eye candy was good enough. But now, even on the roughest xerox like this or a Chantry or a dozen other like minded people, it becomes poetry, an entire book, where the concert takes second stage and technical talent takes abackseat to conceptual talent.   2003-04-26 00:34:43
