ToothSend Tooth a message :   what I like about this one is that the woman breaks the symmetry. I don't know what she's doing with her hand though, is she holding onto the rest of the poster? it almost looks like shes going to shoplift that swoopyswirly thing down there.
wouldn't you rather just read :P ?

DeliciousSend Delicious a message :   (just to continue my rant from earlier). my last commen-of-myself but weather or not I have been successfull at my attempt to create a unique look has yet to be seen. Furthermore, the idea is that no matter how illegible my band name is on the poster the style will, eventually, automatically que the viewer as to what band this poster is for. All that will need to be legible will be the the time and place. It's branding. I already been asked to do posters for other bands in this style and I refused, that would just defeat the purpose.   2003-04-18 12:24:40

Cody PomeroySend Cody Pomeroy a message :   totally..what made you choose hot pink paper though..out of curiosity?   2003-04-18 11:03:32
DeliciousSend Delicious a message :   yeah, I was definitely trying to make this look more art nouveau than Wes Wilson-Filmore era. But I'm inspired by both along with some Gary Grimshaw and even Bob Peak in the newer stuff. The idea is to create an original 60's psyche look without ripping off the 60's artists. Looking into who influenced them rather than just imitating what they did. In other words, " If you wanna sound like the Stones you better start playin' some blues." Dig?   2003-04-18 11:02:09
PediniSend Pedini a message :   Veeery nice! Delicious indeed.   2003-04-18 10:50:21
Cody PomeroySend Cody Pomeroy a message :   nice, I have a copy of this somewhere in my stuff..One of the homages to Mucha that I think was pulled off rather well.   2003-04-18 10:42:15
