pj NEVER did "the punk rock thing" maybe some MEMBERs of pj did green river who one could argue are "punk" (i'd say more metal myself but i digress) pearl jame were never punk thier first album was aor the previous band of members, mother love bone was hair metal mixed with aor. not a trace of punk. now a band doesn't need to be "punk" to be good but claiming to be something yr not just looks bad. maybe other people buy the records but at least 80% of tickets go to WHITE , MIDDLE CLASS , MALE frat boys and yuppies at least that was the case in the mid 90's i don't work in promotions any more but i doubt the demographic would have changed that much

I agree it's not the usual output from Ames but take away the pink or green on the other one and say it was posted by Art in these latest rounds of late 80's early 90's xerox stuff. It fits pretty good in that context. Wonky text, goofy "punk" skelleton. Pretty standard elements. If that's their reference or what they were trying to do they did a pretty good job. Of course you have to detach Pearl Jam from the traditional diy punk context but you get my point.
