Yeah! Assert are good. 9 Shocks is more like old Japanese hardcore- Lipcream, Gauze type of thing mixed with a little Euro (a la Raw Power) stuff. Lots of good stuff! Can't get sick of it. But, I've been listening to Ringworm for 3 days straight. You need to get this record, Fisher!

i've spent my last 3 lunch breaks going to the bookstore and reading 'american hardcore'. it's got me really missing all of my old tapes from 'the funhouse'. i had so much good hardcore recorded that i have no idea how i'd replace. i was reading a chapter on texas and they mention uncle charlie's band DRESDEN 45. rightfully so.

It would seem odd that dropdead would do something like that, unless they gave the money to save rainforests, whales or striped muskrat or something. A powerful band, and one of the few that touring bands ever bothered playing Ireland when I lived there.

Don't know about the selling the name thing. 9 Shocks Terror is probably the best crazy, fast hardcore band around today. Both of their albums and all their 7"s are blistering. If you like that kind of stuff, you should check them out. Most stuff available thru Havoc Records.

ryan thanks for submitting this... i totally appreciate these old flyers, especially for this band. i'm guessing thats a high contrast image of a factory farm. DROPDEAD are a good motivator for anyone to stop eating animals.
