I was dating this one girl with a one year old and I figured out a way to keep him from crying when ever he fell down. I would just start clapping and cheering and his little baby mind decided that it needed to cheer as well and he would forget that he just fell down.....

My grandma used to have a TIME/LIFE book on pysychology and I remember seeing this picture in it when I was a kid. Basically it was scientists fuckin' with babies by putting them on top of a huge piece of glass a few feet off the ground. Little babies apparently couldn't have any comprehension that they were on top of the glass and started freaking out thinking they were going to fall......
