electro: not sure, and i certainly wouldn't want to guess... from what the band told me tho', they probably weren't sold. they might have been just promotion only.
of course i got the o.k... i was set up at the merch tables. there was a lot of competition for $ too 'cause godspeed brought the whole frickin' catalogue plus a publisher from mtl. they were really nice people... and black dice and lullabye arkestra rocked!! apparently it was the first time they let someone do a poster, so you might have a better chance now that i've popped their cherry.
wow!
so did u ever get the ok from the band or promoter?
i'm jealous- i fuckin' LIVE in montreal and i can't seem to gip a poster gig for these guys.
meh.
thanks for the encouraging comments y'all! The finished poster turned out beatifully (thanks to some AMAZING printers) and I sold out the edition of 150 at the shows.
Great first gigposter experience!
:D
yea, sorry guys... i had previously submitted an unfinished design instead of just posting it in the forums... it'll never happen again!
Anyway, this is the final: 7x14" 3-colour silkscreen.
This is beautiful. I just saw them tonight in Houston, and I'm gonna see them in Austin. I have never seen them before. Beautiful and powerful, just like this poster. Nice work!
