"i only lost control of my bowels one after toilet training and it was due to a nasty case of giardia i picked up in atitlan.
not much fun i tell ya.
"
You can say that again. That is the exact same place I got Giardia...wanted to rip my stomach out.
At first, when this was firs posted, it didnt grab me either. But, i just got it randomized ( you see I will do rapid click randomizer and wait about a second or two for each thumbnail...then I will check out one if it catches my eye for any reason) and it struck me very nicely, and easy to read actually...the dirty three anyway and that would draw in a dirty three fan...especially if they saw nothing else it would peak there interest to find out what is this? and what does it have to do with this band dirty three I like so much.
I dont think many posters are going to get totally non fans to a show anyway...its more of a reminder for the casual fan and pushes the aesthetic appeal so you want more of the band...this does that to me...nice work.
This is beautiful and musical. The lettering and the little hillocks make me want to read a kids book written by the dirty three and illustrated by sp. I hope the paper is good and toothy.
It dosen't make me lose control of my bowels, either. Thankfully! It is simple and medititative and very much looks like the sound of a wilting, wailing violin. In my opinion. My design for the upcoming show in Austin is very airy too, because when I think of the band, what comes to mind most are the delicate, swaying melodies the violin explores during the quiet and slow material.
To be devils advocate, I really don't see why everyone is dropping their jaws for this poster. I really like alot of SeriPop stuff but this one I feel falls really short of their others. Maybe I am missing out but it just does not do a thing for me.
i noticed this am at the bank i have 30 canadian dollars in my wallet.. is that like 5 bux?
i remember some cool posters in toronto on my honeymooon... l7 played a small club, was great..
this is great!
maximum flouride...you have to keep in mind that montreal has now been exposed to tons of seripop posters.... so usually, if you see something on a wall, something that looks like this, you instantly know it's a seripop poster for a show. the "not knowing it's a show poster" really isn't much of a problem in montreal. i hear what you're saying, but really...i wouldn't think it'd be a problem anymore.
again, it's one of those posters that's hard to read tiny but pretty obvious at full size (24" x18")
and yeah it's on white paper
nick- we are both VERY excited to trade with you!!!!!!
I like it as art, but it doesn't work for me as a poster. Too hard to gleen the information. I doubt I would know this was for a gig.
I do like the little cellular cliff. Is this printed on white paper?
blam..love the liney-ness....i dug up an old dirty three tape of mine a few days ago........lovely band........lovely poster.......samiches in your eyeballs.
pissah! Those dotted lines are your tell tale heart. I can't wait to make the Dirty Three poster for their Austin appearence... I can't fucking wait to see them again, they rool!
