thenailmcSend thenailmc a message :   There was some miscommunication somewhere. All is well now, that site has been updated.   2010-10-06 16:49:54

rich kellySend rich kelly a message :   Just saw this. Mitch pretty much laid out how this happened. I haven't been making posters long, but one thing I gathered was that you gotta get the band's permission. In this case I was under the impression that we had it. Lesson learned.   2010-10-06 09:04:26

SkullySend Skully a message :   Just because your mom says you can, doesn't make it true.   2010-10-06 01:32:33
RichieGoodtimesSend RichieGoodtimes a message :   I could do a DEVO poster if I wanted. True story.   2010-10-05 23:49:06
thenailmcSend thenailmc a message :   I need to look into this further, but FYI, in case anyone is wondering, the promoter hired Rich for the poster. I also talked to the venue and made them state in writing that they talked to the band and had approval to sell them. If that is actually true, the promoter lied in writing about it and as far as Rich and I knew, it was supposed to be completely legit. Oh, promoters.   2010-10-05 22:29:26
DWITTSend DWITT a message :   so, that's interesting. Selling it (and creating it for that matter) outside the venue and the bands approval? Is that like poster busking?   2010-10-05 22:19:49
MelvinOfTheApesSend MelvinOfTheApes a message :   that's true. unfortunately, some of the coolest stuff I've seen has been bootleg. Some of the shittiest as well. It is what it is. That being said, I love the new Devo "branding" experiment. and this poster does not compute.   2010-10-04 13:56:25
UnitusSend Unitus a message :   That, or like any band they want to control their image/merchandise and stop bootleggers at their shows.   2010-10-04 11:14:43
MelvinOfTheApesSend MelvinOfTheApes a message :   i can see why they did it. they have a really clean, corporate visual going on right now with this focus group approval theory.   2010-10-04 11:04:21
SashSend Sash a message :   I still get warm & fuzzy whenever I hear Devo's 1st 2 albums.

Young MonsterSend Young Monster a message :   thats so whack   2010-10-04 10:15:35
UnitusSend Unitus a message :   I find it hard to believe that someone would just make a bootleg, post it online, and try and sell it outside the show thinking nobody would notice. Lame.   2010-10-04 10:14:49
