san diego shows in general used to go off, and were some of the funnest times i have ever had at a show. kids there love to heckle the bands and the locust (crimson curse, struggle) are used to getting their fair share.
che cafe shows were the best. i hear they got shut down again recently. really too bad.
I played a show with The Locust in 1998, they were really good and the crowd went ballistic but I haven't seen them since. I have to say, their shit did seem pretty contrived but they were entertaining to say the least.
yep, i have tons of crap to do. just finished an ad for modern radio, and now i get to reformat it for various ad sizes. woohoo, hours of fun.
coffee makes everything better.
i have a comp for this too, but im not going. i only really care to see moving units anyway.
seen the locust once ... thats good enough. not that they are bad or anything.
dwitt - i think you will like fast foward. pretty funny guy.
that's just the problem, i didn't spell 'shit' correctly. I'm so ashamed.....
Anyhow, I got a comp to this show, I'm goin', and I want one o'these, too.
its not a bad poster, im thinking that maybe the colors just dont do it for me. i think it would look interesting with that blue on a red stock. give a bit of a "harsher" look maybe. i dunno.
I actually like how "raw" the design looks. The only thing that looks mebbe too neat is the type across the top. But what do I know. I just use pen and ink.
I'll still be hungover from my band's show the night before, but I'll be at this show.
Kick ass.
Is that white ink on colored stock, or fleshy ink on white stock?
