I was at this show. There were a handful of different posters for this stuff. This one was by far the best. It reminds me a lot of the Noise Pop poster from a 97 or 98.
ALOT of the comments on these painted posters turn into the usual making fun of people, name calling and jokes.
This totally needed a gradient by the way. :x
that little bear is being made as a toy now. I used this chair because I liked it. It's not an Eames, it's some Italian guy.
I got paid like 6 grand to do this.
He has like Mustard and Salad dressing. And bottled water.
Fuck! I should have done a lifestyles of the rich and famous movie when he was in Japan. Fuck!
Kozik has already racked up 17 'beat-down' reservations with me.
Im secrety in talks with Goodtimes to have him infiltrate Frank's home and glaze all of the food in his refrigerator with that poison slime that South American toads ooze from their skin.
Then I want his drawing hand amputated and sent to me.
EBAY
Lost all my Kix records a long time ago you can come borrow enuff znuff though. I do have all the remastered Crue records if you need a little Too Fast For Love.
holy shit, my entire life just came into perspective.
kozik keeps "updating" me, but i know it's total bullshit. maybe when vido is finished with me, you can tell him to "visit" kozik.
Goodtimes, print some up. He said he didnt care if people used his junk.
I will buy the first roll.
We really should all do our part to make Frozik look like a fool.
yeah.. but she had to special order fabric and all this crap... my cats sleep on alot of bling bling now..
and to me, looks like the same crap at ikea...
chicks get it apparently..
i used to have an eames lounge and a few saarinen tables before i moved here. i had a friend that worked for one of these "modern furniture" showrooms that would hook me up when they had floor sales. sold all of my belongings before i left hawaii though, sucked.
This LIMN place is this ritzy ass furniture store about 200 yards from where I'm sitting right now. I heard this show from work as they had it in this parking lot type area outside. NONE of us could afford a single piece of furniture from this place.
yeh, herman miller still sell eames furniture, as does knoll i believe. i think that it supposed to be the "Herman Miller Eames Film Festival" featuring the work of David Lynch.
the Lynch pieces that i have seen look a lot like that "painting" in the top left corner of this poster.
herman miller changed the contemporary working environment with the 'action office'. so, next time you start feeling caged in at your cubicle, thank him.
Herman Miller is a Furniture manufacturer, I think based here in Chicago, at least their HQ is in the Merchandise Mart, It might just be a show named after Eames who I'm pretty sure designed chairs for them back in the 50's (they still sell to this day) If this chair is a drawing of a chair by this other guy, then I apologogize. I still think it's a cool drawing though.
oh, and p.s.
it reads that it was to celebrate the work of David Lynch, not Eames.
i havent seen any chairs by Lynch, so im not too sure if this is supposed to be one of his ... or maybe its just a chair.
This is for an Eames show? I don't get Herman Miller, nor do I get Eames from this chair. It's a cool poster and I dig the colors, type, scraggly teddy bear and whatnot, but it just doesn't seem to fit the nature of the show to me. Dunno, I get Amish furniture show out of it..I'll end my nitpick now as well.
this is kind of a lousy photo. the bottom doesn't have that much of a bend in it but now it's framed and all I get is glare off the glass. Not bad for a guy who defined day-glo,
