ZELIGSend ZELIG a message :   Thanks, right back at both of ya. I just wanted to give Jermaine props for not taking the easy way out on this one. We did a trade a long time ago, and I didn't want to be a picky bastard and ask for anything specific (although I did mention the Morrissey poster). This one came in my tube from him, and I was super stoked as I've always admired it for image, color, and idea.
About the only place I have for band posters, other than all the promo ones for the Damned in my bedroom, is my guest room and it's full of Ballard's stuff. I wanted this one in there though as it cracks me up, yet it makes me actually try to imagine about a hundred different elements to the suggested story. However, if you look at one of my "cartoons gone bad" posters, there's not much to consider beyond the initial image. It's just, "I guess Grover was too slow" or "That stupid reindeer is gonna get it." 		  2003-10-10 16:25:45

ZELIGSend ZELIG a message :   Chloe mentioned cartoon characters being "bad" in the over-used image forum. While that's an entirely legitmate point, god knows I'm a repeat offender, that cliche makes posters like this that more outstanding. While I would be too easily tempted to have Lion-O blowing the Panther guy, Jermy came up with a bizarely original approach to using familiar pop icons without resorting to bongs, needles, blood, sex, or the devil. Just stating the obvious as this came up on randomizer and it's one of the few exceptions hanging in my Ballard room.   2003-10-10 15:59:05
