Officially the most time-consuming illustration I've ever done- about 50 hours from start to finish, all in 4 straight days. Partly because I just enjoyed the hell out of drawing it, but there's also a shitload of detail in the separations. I literally burned my freaking brain out from working on this for so many hours straight. My retinas & optic nerves took in so much light & tiny-ass zoomed-in detail, I couldn't even look at my computer screen the entire day after I finished it without experiencing vertigo and getting nauseous. Kinda silly to put that much work into this, but it was fun as hell. I forgot how much I enjoyed drawing comic book heroes when I was a kid. I'll be doing more stuff like this.
