Max - I admit this image has nothing to do with the band, and though I normally try to tailor the image to the band, I had six posters to do over a short period of time, so I wasn't as adamant about making the image band specific.

oh, i hear ya dude. I know exactly where you are coming from.
Just like when I do ad work, I try to think the poster I'm doing is being viewed by someone who is dumb as a stump or has an extremely short attention span.
Something that can be taken in and viewed in an instant. It's advertising after all...
Hate "operation mindcrime" type pieces.... ugh.

I wish I wasn't so literal in my work is all I'm saying. Some times I just don't get other peoples ideas. Doesn't mean they arn't good . Thats all I'm saying.

That's BS man. You got plenty of imagination dude. Nuthing wrong with thinking literally in your work. At least you dont do huge concept pieces who's deep meaning only YOU understand....

I'm very torn on this poster. On one hand I think the illustration is awesome. Ralph is an amazing illustrator. On the other hand, I am a huge fan of Origin and this poster just doesn't fit the band at all. They are super techinical death metal. It's just such a cool poster though.
