standardSend standard a message :   Gay is wicked awesome. You should really capitalize "wally". It's a proper noun, you know.   2002-11-21 08:25:55
wallySend wally a message :   ummm.. didn't you just spell "because" wrong. makin fun of people for grammar or spelling in chat or forums is just plain gay.   2002-11-20 12:24:02
Bradley W. ZimmermanSend Bradley W. Zimmerman a message :   it's really pathetic that i ain't got the cash to buy anything from fontalicious, because they have some bad-assed stuff, and for hella cheap too. i will however be a cheerleader for them.
RIOS. what you're trying to say is fine. it's how you're saying it that we're taking offense to. that and the fact you have a completely blank profile, and on here that's taken to mean "coward with something to hide".
so spill it. what's your connection to fontalicious ? ;)

Platinum RichSend Platinum Rich a message :   fontilicous requires that you purchase a font for 20 bucks and send copies to the dude ben if you use something from them.
it would have been nice to vary the typefaces a bit. maybe even make the cassette smaller or make the poster horizontal or die-cut . if you like it that's all that matters. we're all douche bags.

Cody PomeroySend Cody Pomeroy a message :   Rios, it's called the "Caps Lock" key, all you have to do is hit it once my man.   2002-11-20 08:30:16
standardSend standard a message :   You know how all-caps is read as "yelling" in internet life? Well, I think a fun thing to do is, whenever someone write in all-caps, instead of reading it in a "yelling" voice, read it in a "robot" voice. It makes everything much much funnier. Oh, and I'm pretty sure "mispelt" isn't even a word.   2002-11-20 08:28:45

El Negro Magnifico!Send El Negro Magnifico! a message :   Rios makes things he/she says seem important by using all caps. Ingenius. Wish I had thought of it.   2002-11-19 08:10:37

gun shoSend gun sho a message :   using a dingbat from a font is like using clip-art. if you don't mind clip art, whatever. in my opinion, i don't think that redrawing it or adding subtle elements makes it less clip-arty. at the very least, i think this particular clip art is such a basic representation of a tape that it's more iconic than illustrative anyway. if that's what you're going for, cool. i think this poster would work better if more effort was put into the illustration, not relying on the obscurity of the dingbat to carry the message. that's just my opinion. please don't skewer me for making my comment.   2002-11-18 17:30:50
Bradley W. ZimmermanSend Bradley W. Zimmerman a message :   if you own a font, why is it wrong to use the dingbats as design elements? RIOS called me out for using a boombox from fontalicious which i had found online and redrew.
i can't decide if RIOS restricts their comments to this as a form of self-promotion, or if they're insinuating that there's to be some kind of shame in using them.

Hand Carved GraphicsSend Hand Carved Graphics a message :   the cassette is admittedly borrowed from fontalicous. but if it is any consolation, i drew the middle wheels and placed all of the black circles in their appropriate places, which aren't part of the fontalicious image at all. personally, i think the background texture makes this one for me.   2002-11-18 15:15:20
Bradley W. ZimmermanSend Bradley W. Zimmerman a message :   yes, it's a Fontalicious dingbat. what of it? this is at least the second time you've commented on that use. doesn't seem that you've done much more than that on here.
btw, your comment showed up in Helvetica. BIG UPS TO THE SWISS.
