holy shit! Goodtimes actually gave real advice back in 2002...
Fisher.. ease off the clutch there guy, this isn't that bad.. your kids liked it afterall
I love this poster - I am a rock and roll people - And I am sure this poster would be more stolen than modern art stuff with just a view lines on it and too small letters.
Yeah it's an awesome illustration.
I mean just the "idea". But like you said if the band digs it, and it reaches the audience, then it
works. I definately see it working on that level.
I don't take offense. I try and make posters that fit the band. I'm just trying to solve a problem. How do i get people to go see "this" band? I make a poster that speaks to the crowd the band is trying to reach.
This poster is for Rock and Roll people. The fans of this band will like this poster.
I happen to really like the ghoul in hotrod style. I grew up on Roth. My dad had his stuff all over the place. I actualy did some work for Roth. I could never see enough of this style. The problem with this poster is I didn't bring anything new to the style. It's a little bland and the type sucks. See Koziks Nomads poster for a good Hotrod style poster
yeah, the text sucks. Ewing said pretty much the same thing as you. He went with me to pick them up at the printer today. my kids like it. Does that count for anything??
I know you love me
Well man...I'll tell you whats good and I'll tell you whats not so good...
The drawing...very good.
The type... not so good.
Angel City Outlaws is ok but might've worked a little better arched and dropped down a little into and behind the drawing without the black rectangle...
Now this is just me...but I probably would've made the type in the bottom rectangle the same pink as the background...maybe some of the support words in white. I see what you were doing though...
Remember Mike...Richie loves you.
