I've actually had fairly good experiences with sound guys. Even when they have no clue what they're doing, most of the ones I run into are mellow/stoned and sort of funny and like, talk to the monitors and stuff.
"C'mon,.....c'mon....What are you doing?" (shakes monitor, peers in through wire jack on back) "What's goin on in there, man?"
At the show that inspired this poster, the guitarist got kicked out by complaining to the owner. Dragged out, actually.
At least that's what I heard, i wasn't there. I never leave my safe little studio.
i played a show wher the sound guy was used to doing metal shows. he had all the drums way up in the mix, and all the openers were pissed about it. so before we played i walked up to the guy and said " DO NOT mix my drums that high, this isn't metallica." guess who's drums were the loudest that night. fuckin' jerk. i broke my bas pedal too, so it sounded like EXTRA shit. thanks, sound guy...
