yeah, i'm w/ flouride. this is maya or some other 3D application. i REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that this sort-of look doesn't become the norm in posters any time soon.
This poster was not done in photoshop. This was done ina 3D graphics program. I'm guessing lightwave, Maya, or 3D studio. This is what I do all day long. Right now I'm turning action figures into 3D game models.
So from the standpoint of 3D graphics this poster actualy amazingly good. The text is definetly Photoshop or something like it. The text could have been handled differently. The blue glow seems strange or something.
crap, I wrote a big old long spiel about Photoshop, but 90% of it was drone and dribble anyway so like, fuck it. This kinda looks like my best friend's ex girlfriend. He broke up with her because she was a prostitute.
I use a computer for my stuff too. I just don't like Photoshop. It makes everything look too anti-septic to me. Too clean. I use photoshop to scan and adjust and that's about it.. I use Illustrator mainly. I work on computers all day long for my day gig. Believe me I don't begrudge anyone for using a computer for their posters. I love Scrojo's stuff. And I know Photoshop can be used in many ways. I just don't care for this particular look. I wasn't trying to come off as anti-computer.
Jeph - I think you would be surprised and how many AND WHO use
the computer (photoshop, freehand and others) for poster work. This is OK not one of my faves BUT that is just me. I think she looks like was thing from DEATH MATCH show.
